Aims and Objectives

  • The overall objective of KHHCC is to support the development and implementation of effective national social policies and programs for people in poverty, including youths, women, children and persons with disability.
  • To contribute in promoting health, self-empowerment, Education, Youths and sports, arts and culture and development in The Gambia
  • To promote the participation of women, children and young people in the work of the organisation.
  • To propagate the fundamental principles of the organisation and those of national interest, in order to develop among children and youths, the ideals of peace, mutual respect and understanding amongst all people.
  • Partner with The Gambia Government, NGOs, Development partners, KHHCC ambassadors around the globe and other stakeholders to promote health and development in The Gambia and the world at large, with particular focus on the conditions of vulnerable women, children, persons with disabilities and poor communities.
  • Strengthen the capacity of individuals, groups and communities to be in better control over the determinants of their health for meaningful participation in development.
  • Serve as a hub in gathering and sharing information on health and development within local communities and schools in the Gambia.
  • To sensitize local women groups about effects of child labor and Female Genital Mutilation or FGM.
  • To educate and sensitise the poor rural communities about the effects of climate change, how it affects Africa and the world, its causes and solutions to reduce it.
